As-directed hire
Hourly chauffeur service
A transfer ends at an address. An hourly reservation ends when you say so. The car and the chauffeur stay with you for the block of time you reserve, the route is yours to change, and nothing has to be re-booked when the day runs long.
When hourly is the right choice
Three stops or more, or any wait between them
Most people book hourly the first time after a day of point-to-point transfers went wrong: a meeting overran, the second car had already left, the third was booked for an address that had changed. Hourly removes that. One chauffeur, one vehicle, and the day is run from the back seat.
The common patterns are a morning of client meetings across a city, a site tour with an investor group, a shopping afternoon with bags going into the boot at each stop, a dinner and a show with the car waiting outside, and a day of house viewings with an agent. Executive assistants also use it for visiting principals who want a car available without a schedule.
Minimum reservation: three hours for sedans and SUVs, five hours for stretch limousines, Sprinters and coaches. After the minimum, time is billed in thirty-minute steps.
What is included
The hourly rate covers the day, not just the driving
Waiting time
Waiting is what you are paying for. The chauffeur holds outside each stop, keeps the cabin at temperature and is ready the moment you come out.
Route changes
Add a stop, drop a stop, go back to the hotel for a forgotten bag. Tell the chauffeur; nothing needs a phone call to us.
Fuel, tolls and parking
Included in the rate within the metropolitan area. Long excursions outside the city are quoted as a day rate instead.
Gratuity
A standard gratuity is built into the hourly rate, so there is nothing to work out at the end of the day.
Typical days
How clients actually use an hourly car
The investor visit
Airport pickup at 8, three meetings in the financial district, lunch, a plant visit in Mississauga and back to the airport. Ten hours, one Executive SUV, one chauffeur who knows where every building’s loading entrance is.
The client dinner
Hotel to restaurant, restaurant to the arena, arena back to the hotel, with the car waiting outside each. Five hours, a Luxury Sedan, and nobody in the party looking at a phone for a ride.
The wedding-week errands
Dress fittings, the florist, the venue walk-through and the rehearsal dinner, all in one afternoon with the boot filling up as the day goes on. Four hours in an Executive SUV.
The house hunt
A relocating executive and an agent visiting seven properties across the west end and Oakville. Six hours, and the agent’s own car stays parked.
The film festival day
Hotel to the press junket, to a screening, to a party, to another party. Eight hours in a Luxury SUV with privacy glass and a chauffeur who has done the festival before.
The trade-show shift
An exhibitor team moved between the hotel, the venue and two client dinners with cases and samples on board all day. Executive Sprinter for twelve hours.
Beyond the city
Day rates and multi-day chauffeurs
For excursions outside the metropolitan area, wine-country and Niagara days, or a chauffeur for a whole visit, we quote a day rate that includes the chauffeur’s meals and, for multi-day work away from base, accommodation. Corporate accounts can hold a chauffeur on a standing weekly pattern for visiting executives.
