Policies
Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every reservation made through this site, by phone, by email or through a corporate account. Reading them takes five minutes; most of them are about what happens when a plan changes.
1. The contract
A reservation is an offer to purchase chauffeured ground transportation from CorporateBlackLimousine.com (“we”, “us”). The contract is formed when we send the confirmation email stating the fare, the vehicle class, the pickup details and the cancellation window. Until that email is sent no vehicle is committed. By reserving, the person booking confirms that they are the cardholder or are authorised by the cardholder, and that they accept these terms, the cancellation policy and the payment terms on behalf of every passenger.
2. Fares, minimums and additional charges
Fares are fixed for the journey or hours described in the confirmation and include the items listed on the payments page. Hourly reservations carry a minimum of three hours for sedans and SUVs and five hours for stretch limousines, Sprinters and coaches; travel from the garage to a pickup outside the metropolitan area may be billed in thirty-minute steps and is stated in the quote. Waiting beyond the allowance, additional stops, hours beyond the reservation, a requested change of class, and cleaning or repair after damage are charged at the published rates for the class and itemised on the receipt.
3. Pickups, tracking and waiting
Where a flight, tail, train or vessel identifier is supplied we monitor it and adjust the pickup time. Where none is supplied the vehicle attends at the reserved time and the waiting allowance runs from that time. Allowances are 45 minutes after a domestic landing, 60 after an international landing or a vessel’s clearance, and 15 minutes at railway stations and addresses. The chauffeur waits at the meeting point stated on the confirmation.
4. Passengers and conduct
Vehicles may not carry more passengers than the certified seating stated on the fleet page. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any vehicle. Alcohol may be consumed only where the law of the jurisdiction permits it in a chauffeured vehicle and never by anyone under the legal drinking age. Children travel in a seat appropriate to their age and weight; seats are supplied on request. The chauffeur may end a journey without refund where a passenger’s behaviour is unlawful, dangerous or abusive, or where the vehicle would otherwise be damaged.
5. Luggage and lost property
Luggage travels at the passenger’s risk except where loss or damage is caused by our negligence. Items found in a vehicle are logged and held by the desk; we return them at the passenger’s reasonable cost of delivery. Unclaimed items are disposed of after ninety days.
6. Substitution and affiliates
We may substitute a vehicle of the same or a higher class at the confirmed fare. Outside the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario, journeys are fulfilled by affiliate operators that we have vetted and that operate under our reservation, our tracking and our invoicing. We remain your contracting party for those journeys and you should raise any issue with our desk rather than with the affiliate.
7. Delays and events beyond our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by weather, road closures, traffic incidents, border delays, industrial action, security alerts or other events beyond our reasonable control, but we will take all reasonable steps to complete the journey or provide an alternative. Recommended departure times for flights, sailings and trains are advice; the passenger remains responsible for allowing adequate time and for the consequences of a missed departure.
8. Liability
Every vehicle carries commercial passenger-transport insurance at or above the level required in its jurisdiction, and our liability for personal injury is not limited where the law forbids it. Otherwise our liability to you in respect of any reservation is limited to the fare paid for that reservation, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses including missed connections, lost earnings or lost opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer law.
9. Corporate accounts
Corporate accounts are governed by these terms together with the account agreement, which sets the approved users, the billing arrangement, the payment terms and any negotiated rates. Where the two conflict, the account agreement governs.
10. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in the privacy notice. Reservations are shared with the chauffeur or affiliate who fulfils them only to the extent needed to perform the journey.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumer rights in your own jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable the remainder continues in effect. We may update these terms; the version in force when a reservation is confirmed is the one that applies to it.
