Payments
Cards for individual reservations, invoicing for accounts, and a fare that already includes the items other operators add at the end.
Card payments
Authorisation at reservation, charge on completion
When you reserve online, the card is authorised for the quoted fare so we know it is valid, and the amount is charged when the journey is complete. If a reservation is cancelled outside its cancellation window the authorisation is released and nothing is charged. If it is cancelled inside the window, or the chauffeur has already been dispatched, the cancellation charge described in the cancellation policy is applied.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and debit cards on those networks. Card details are entered in the reservation engine and are never stored on this website. The person making the reservation confirms that they are the cardholder or are authorised by the cardholder.
What the fare includes
The number you see is the number you pay
- The journey between the pickup and the destination, or the reserved hours for an hourly booking
- Fuel, road tolls and parking at the pickup point, including airport terminal parking for meet-and-greet
- The standard waiting allowance: 45 minutes after a domestic flight, 60 after an international flight or at a cruise pier, 15 at a railway station, and 15 at an address
- A standard gratuity for the chauffeur
- Applicable taxes
Additional charges arise only when something changes: waiting beyond the allowance in fifteen-minute steps, extra stops added on the day, hours beyond an hourly reservation in thirty-minute steps, a requested change of vehicle class, or damage and cleaning under the terms. Each of these is at the published rate for the vehicle class and is itemised on the receipt.
Corporate accounts
Invoicing instead of cards
Approved corporate accounts are invoiced monthly, with one line per journey showing traveller, date, route, vehicle class and the cost centre or purchase order supplied at booking. Payment terms are agreed at account setup, typically net thirty days by electronic transfer. Accounts can also hold a card on file for travellers who book outside the account’s approval rules.
Event and roadshow programmes are quoted as a whole and invoiced against the proposal, with a deposit for programmes over an agreed size.
Currency, receipts and disputes
The details
Fares are quoted and charged in Canadian dollars for journeys that start in Canada and in the local currency for journeys fulfilled by affiliates elsewhere; the confirmation states the currency. A receipt is emailed automatically after every journey, and duplicate or consolidated receipts are available from the desk. If a charge looks wrong, contact the desk before contacting your card issuer; almost every query is resolved the same day.
Never pay a chauffeur directly for the fare
Every fare on this site is settled through the reservation engine or an invoice from us. A request to pay cash for the journey itself is not something our chauffeurs or affiliates make; anything you choose to add as a gratuity is, of course, yours to give.
